ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE LENS

Photography is a passion that can only be fuelled by taking more photographs.

I came into photgraphy at the relatively young age of seventeen years when my father purchased an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SLR back in 1967. I made this my own and started taking photographs, developing film and printing my own photographs.

I maintained contact with photography off and on but came back to it in force when digital cameras came into their own. I purchased my first Nikon point and shoot passing through another Nikon Coolpix then to my first SLR the Nikon D90. I have now purchased my second Nikon SLR, the Nikon 800.

This has opened great possibilites, following my retirement from work. With more time on my hands I enrolled for a two year full time Higher Diploma course in Photography at MCAST, Malta where I graduated in 2015. I will carry this on by reading for my degree in photography starting OCtober 2015

In this course at MCAST Malta I have come across a group of wonderful teachers who I am proud to call my tutors and mentors. They have opened my mind to a completely new world in Photography gently guiding me to experiment in ways that I never know existed.
